How Billing Works
Everything you need to know about payments, billing cycles, and managing your subscription.
Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods for Pro subscriptions:
Credit & Debit Cards
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards are accepted. Your card details are securely stored and encrypted using industry-standard encryption.
Billing Cycles
Choose the billing cycle that works best for you:

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle. You can cancel anytime before the renewal date.
When You're Charged
Initial Charge
You're charged immediately when you upgrade to Pro (unless you're starting a free trial).
After Free Trial
If you started with a free trial, you'll be charged on the day your trial ends unless you cancel before then.
Recurring Charges
Your subscription renews automatically. Monthly plans renew on the same day each month. Yearly plans renew on the anniversary of your subscription.
Invoices & Receipts
We provide detailed invoices for all your payments:
- Email receipts: You'll receive an email receipt after each successful payment.
- Invoice history: View and download all your invoices from the Billing page in your account settings.
- Business invoices: Company accounts receive invoices with full business details for expense reporting.
- Tax information: Invoices include applicable tax information based on your location.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, here's what happens:
Grace Period
You have a 7-day grace period to update your payment method. Your Pro features remain active during this time.
Retry Attempts
We'll automatically retry the payment up to 3 times over the grace period.
Account Downgrade
If payment isn't resolved within the grace period, your account will be downgraded to the free plan.
To avoid service interruption:
- Ensure your payment method is up to date
- Check that your card hasn't expired
- Verify you have sufficient funds or credit available
- Contact your bank if payments are being blocked
Updating Your Payment Method
You can update your payment method at any time:
- Go to Settings
- Click on Billing & Subscription
- Under Payment Method, click Update
- Enter your new card details
- Click Save Changes
Your payment information is securely processed and stored using industry-standard encryption. We never store your full card number on our servers.
Promo Codes & Discounts
We occasionally offer promotional discounts:
- Where to enter: Enter promo codes on the upgrade page before completing your purchase.
- One-time use: Most promo codes can only be used once per account.
- Duration: Discounts may apply to just the first billing period or be recurring, depending on the promotion.
- Expiration: Promo codes have expiration dates. Check the terms of the promotion for details.
Currency & Taxes
Currency
All prices are displayed and charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD). If you're paying with a card issued in another currency, your bank will convert the charge at their exchange rate.
Taxes
Applicable taxes (GST/HST/PST) are calculated based on your billing address and added to your subscription price. Tax rates vary by province.
